Paul Foster The Winemaster
Paul Foster’s world is wine. He talks, teaches, judges and writes about it. He is one of the original architects of the Young Australian Winemaker of the Year Award and he continues to contribute to it as a judge.
For ten years he was Wine Master at The Australian Wine Society and he was responsible for developing its extensive wine education programme. He continues to consult to the Society as its Senior Wine Educator and he contributes copy to its publications, judges on its Wine Selection Panel, and hosts functions and dinners on its behalf. He is an experienced Master of Ceremonies and he regularly conducts Board Room tastings, Corporate Dinners and Charity Functions. He organises winery visits within and outside of Australia and he has led tours to Australia’s Hunter Valley, Barossa Valley and Margaret River wine regions, to central and northern Italy, and to Champagne, Alsace, Burgundy and the Rhone in France. His duty, as he sees it, is to educate and to enthuse others about the magic of fine wine.
